20 Nigerian soldiers faces court marshal in Maiduguri

Twenty soldiers comprising four officers and sixteen men of the Nigerian army have been arraigned before a court marshal over charges of gun-running and murder.

While inaugurating the court marshal at the military media center in Maiduguri, the commander in charge of 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier Victor Ezudwu,  warned the president of the court and its members against unnecessary adjournments, while seeing to it that justice is done.

Daily Trust reporter in Maiduguri reports that most of those involved are being charged for selling arms while some others are suspected of committing murder and human rights abuses.
