Shehuri announced this on Monday in Bauchi during a courtesy visit to Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi.

He said that Yelo-Futuk-Dengi Road in Plateau State and Ningi-Yada Gungume-Lame roads in Bauchi State would also be rehabilitated.

Shehuri, currently in the state to inspect road projects captured in the 2016 budget, said that the roads were part of the N280 billion projects in the budget.

In his response, Abubakar, represented by his deputy, Nuhu Gidado, commended the federal government for awarding the contracts.

The governor said that the projects when completed would boost commercial activities and reduce road accidents in the state.

He appealed to the ministry  to also facilitate the refund of N1.9 billion the state government had spent on repairs of the Dass -Tafawa Balewa -Dawaki federal road.
