The General Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Williams Kumuyi has again reminded Nigerian that it will be easier for the head of a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for the rich to enter the kingdom of God while adding that they only way out are to detach ourselves from these earthly riches.
Kumuyi, stated this recently while speaking on the topic, Kingdom Citizens at the Deeper Life Easter Retreat Themed: Heirs of His Kingdom, DLCC Km 42 Lagos Ibadan Express Way.
According to him, the opportunity to enter into the kingdom of God is extended but making use of such an invitation is a personal decision as many will not access the opportunity but rather place their trust in their wealth.
In his words, to enter the kingdom of God is not achieved by going to the church regularly or by being present at different church activities but by being a truly born again Christian.
It takes salvation, sanctification, and purity of heart to enter the kingdom of God, he added.
To further support his position, the anointed man of God quoted from the Bible; the book of Mark 10: 22,28 and Luke 9:61,62 which among other things narrated how a man who trusted so much in is richest came to Jesus to seek salvation, but went away sad just because he was so much attached to his riches.
He, therefore, pointed out that all those politicians and others who trust so much in their wealth cannot enter the kingdom of God except they embrace Jesus Christ as their personal savior.
As a way forward, , the former university Don explained that all must put away adultery, fornication, uncleanness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance emulation wrath strife sedition and heresies and accept Jesus Christ.
Continuing, Pastor Kumuyi added that for us to gain salvation, we must take the following steps; confess our sin and accept Jesus as your lord and savior, live righteously and holy every day of your life.
Others according to him include, asking God to sanctify and make us pure by heeding his call.
Kumuyi urged Christians to see this teaching as an opportunity to book their place in heaven rather selling their bright right like Esau, who sold his birthright for a worthless gain.
