The General Overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church,  Pastor William kumuyi has called on all Christians to keep God’s commandment as a sign of their love for him.

He made this disclosure this recently at the Deeper Life National Easter Retreat held at the Deeper Life National Retreat, Km 42, Lagos Ibadan Express Way, while speaking on the topic titled; Kingdom Love.

According to him, Christianity is not a religion of outward signs by words but a religion that is based on one’s pragmatic deed geared towards proving his/ her love for God.

Such deeds expected of believers, he added, may include but not limited to; walk-in is status, love what God desires, humility and obedience like Jesus Christ who is our perfect example.

In his words, no one can claim to love God while swimming in the ocean of mortal sins such as; adultery, Fornication, sedition, stealing and greed.

Continuing, the Christian cleric read a text from the Christian holy book, the Bible; from the book of Matthew 22: 36,39 where a Jews lawyer came to interrogate Jesus on what the greatest commandment was. And Jesus responded thus; love God which is the first commandment and the second is to love your  neighbor as yourself.

Kumuyi , pointed out that most Christian is like that Jewish person that have memorized the ten commandments but hardly obey any.

He, therefore, urged believers to demonstrate their love for the kingdom by living in accordance with God’s dictates while adding that the people of the kingdom love their neighbor as themselves.

Kumuyi, concluded with an advice for all Christians saying that the hour has come for all Christians to be our brother’s keepers by being compassionate to our neighbors.
