Cameroon, whose 253,000 tonnes of cocoa output last season made it Africa’s third largest producer, had a grind of 53,000 tonnes last season and expects to grind 80,000 tonnes in the upcoming season, Luc Magloire Atangana told reporters.

Production was up 9.5 percent last season but still came in more than 15 percent below its potential due to an insurgency by Anglophone separatists in the cocoa-producing Southwest Region, Atangana said.
