There seems to be no end to the ongoing friction among the Fulani ethnic group in Taraba state as their traditional heads scattered in the nooks and crannies of the state, herders and top notches of the Fulani extraction solidly stood against the re-election of the incumbent governor of the state, Darius Dickson Ishaku and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku.

The leaders as well as their followers who converged at Garba-Chede in Bali Local Government Council to speak with one voice, identified the passing into law the Open Anti Grazing Law , as one of the major sin of the governor that has debarred them from rooting for his re-election.

The governor’s inability to unit the Fulani with other ethnic groups, the situation which they sad have made them second class citizens in the state, they agreed also motivated them from supporting his second term bid.

Led by a member for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Barrster Mohammed Bello Mustapha, the group said d an accord had been signed with the entire Fulani in the state to cast all their votes for the incumbent president and the governorship candidate of the APC for Taraba state , Alhaji Sami Abubakar Danladi.

Mustapha who told news that over 682.000 herders have registered and are fully armed with their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) said they have unanimously resolved to vote for President Buhari and Danladi adding that ” they have vowed that not a single of bite of their would go to PDP.”

Mustapha who is also of the Fulani extraction from Taraba said the incumbent PDP Government in the state have as well make life unbearable for the Fulani, hence their decision to work tirelessly round the clock to frustrate the second coming of the governor.

According to him” it is a well known fact that Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku’s led administration in Taraba has created disunity, disharmony, disaffection and hatred among its citizens” adding that ” he has created so many problems between the Fulani and other ethnic groups.”

Stressing that the ” Fulani have gathered to decided whom to vote for” he was of the opinion that ” it is only the APC government that will provide peace and security for the Fulani in Taraba and the country at large.

The leaders who took their time to distribute kola nuts among its members present at the venue which our correspondent learnt was a sign of agreement, said they would also ensure the emergence of all the APC candidates in the polls.

Some of the Ardos (village heads) who were elated by the development reiterated their determinations to go back to their domain and mobilize their subjects to throw their weights behind the candidature of President Buhari and that of Danladi .

It would be recall that the ongoing cold war which has factionalized the Fulani nation in the state and in the northeast at large recently compelled the northeast chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association MACBAN, Alhaji Umar Mafindi to resigned from the leadership position of the association.
