Recruitment: Police in Kaduna, warn applicants over fraudsters

Kaduna, July 15, 2020 The Police Command in Kaduna State has warned prospective applicants who wish to apply for the job of Constable in the Nigeria Police Force, to beware of fraudsters.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, Mr Umar Muri gave the warning in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige on Wednesday in Kaduna.
“The Kaduna State Police Command, wishes to inform the general public particularly interested persons who wish to apply for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as Constables that, the online registration has commenced on July 14 and will be closed on Aug. 23.
“In view of the above, the Command wishes to inform the good people of Kaduna state and prospective applicants in particular that, the application is absolutely free of charge.
“And they should beware of fraudsters who may want to take advantage of the process to perpetrate their nefarious behaviors.”
Muri said the Command had set up a machinery to forestall the activities of those that may attempt to truncate the process.
He said that the prospective applicants must be between the age of 17 and 25, and should have at least five Credits including Mathematics and English Language, among other requirements.
The police commissioner stressed that all applications should be submitted online, adding that physical screening would hold from Aug. 24 to Aug. 30, in Kaduna.
According to Muri, names of successful candidates will be published in selected national dailies on Sept. 14, and other relevant platforms.
He therefore advised the applicants to have functional Email Address and registered Mobile Phone Number for easy contact.
“Applicants must print out the notification messages that will be sent to their Emails and must not forget to copy and save their registration numbers for future correspondences,” he said.
