Okei-Odumakin called for the arrest in a statement she issued in Lagos.

Naija247news reports that armed robbers on Wednesday broke into the MKO Abiola Crescent, Opebi, Ikeja, residence of Abiola, the winner of the June 12, 1993, Presidential Election.

The robbers carted away jewellery and money.

The police had said that the robbers, armed with dangerous weapons, including guns, penetrated the magnificent duplex through a canal behind the crescent, and gained entrance by cutting the protective wires on the fence.

Okei-Odumakin said that the members of Abiola’s household were subjected to untoward experiences during the robbery.

“We are worried by this development and we challenge the police to do their best to apprehend these criminals so that they can be brought to the temple of justice.

“We equally demand that security be improved around the house to forestall a recurrence of the sad incident.

“This incident remains a serious blight until we are able to nab the criminals,” she said.
