“Whoever is going to emerge as winner from this election today is legitimate and should embrace the other person.

Alhaji Ali Atabor, a National Trustee of the NUJ also in his speech, said “I call on elected leaders to endear themselves to the members. Winners, be magnanimous and losers, don’t take it with bitterness because there’s always another day.

In her inaugural speech, Olurinde said the new executive would ensure that the association became more vibrant and its presence better felt in the state.

“Gentlemen of the press, with the opportunities and challenges that come with our acceptance to serve you, we are of the believe that this second journey will be eventful at the end of our tenure”, she promised.
