Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Lafia, Sept 8, 2020 Member representing Lafia- North constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim-Alkali, has urged the people of the state and other Nigerians to embrace unity and other virtues that promote national development.
Ibrahim-Alkali (APC) who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, made the call when the Lafia Local Government Unity and Progressive Forum (13 wards) visited him and his colleague, Abdullahi Angibi ( APC- Lafia Central) in Lafia on Tuesday.
He said the people of the state and indeed Nigerians needed to pursue unity, exhibit selflessness and exercise love for one another to enable the country to move forward.
According to him, the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence to societal development could not be overemphasised, hence the need for call.
The lawmaker commended the forum for the visit and assured them of his continued determination to change the lives of the people of the area, positively.
” I want to commend you for being up and doing in educating and enlightening the people of the 13 wards of Lafia Local Government Area on unity, peace and for drumming support for the APC led administration.
” I, together with Abdullahi Angibi, will support you 100 per cent to enable you to succeed, ” he said.
The deputy Chief Whip of the assembly called on the people of the area to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration and other leaders at all levels to enable them to succeed.
Also speaking, Angibi commended the forum for the giant steps it had taken to educate the people of the area on the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence among them.
He also assured of his 100 per cent support to the forum and his continued commitment to improve the standard of living of the people of the area.
Angibi, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Public Account, called on the people of the area to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
Earlier, Alhaji Ibrahim Magajin-Aska, the Chairman of the forum, said that they decided to visit their representatives at the assembly to discuss how to achieve unity, peace and development in Lafia Local Government Area.
Magajin-Aska commended the leadership qualities of the two lawmakers and urged them to sustain the tempo.
He assured the lawmakers of the forum’s determination to collaborate with them in order to achieve speedy development in Lafia local government.
