Ilorin, Oct. 22, 2020 (NAN) The management, officials and players of Kwara United FC of Ilorin have commiserated with the family of the club’s late former team manager, Alhaji Agboola Basambo, who died in the early hours of Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020.
His body has been buried according to Islamic rites.
Mr Jimoh Bashir, Media Officer of the team, in a condolence message said that the club expressed shock over the demise of Basambo.
“The club is pained by the deceased’s death at a time when his vast experience and advice is needed to advance the course of the young ones.
“From all of us at Kwara United Football Club, we are saddened by the death of our one time team manager and we pray Allah to grant him Aljana Fridaous,’’ Bashir said.
He noted that the management recalled the contributions of the deceased toward the development of the club.
He prayed Allah to give his family the strength and fortitude to withstand the irreparable loss.
Basambo, former player of the famous Highlanders Football Club of Ilorin, joined Kwara United FC as Welfare Officer, before graduating to the position of Team Manager.
