Ekiti State to reel out Action Plan on Human Rights soon, says AG

Ado Ekiti, Jan. 22, 2021 Ekiti State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Olawale Fapounda, has said that the State Government was set to reel out its Action Plan on Human Rights soon.

The Commissioner, who made this known at the inauguration of the governing board of the Directorate of Citizens Rights, Ekiti State Ministry of Justice, added that the state had zero tolerance for violence against all persons.

Inaugurating the board, the attorney general appreciated the members for accepting to serve, while enumerating their duties and responsibilities.

The commissioner advised the board not to limit its activities to Ado Ekiti, but extend it to all the 16 Local Government Areas of the state, calling on them to discharge their duties without fear or favour.

Responding, on behalf of the members, the Chairman of the board, HRM Oba Adesoji Akinyemi, the Onisin of Isinbode Ekiti, thanked the governor for finding them worthy of the appointment, pledging the commitment of the members to discharge their duties diligently.
