17 ships discharge petroleum products, other items at Lagos ports

Lagos, Jan. 28, 2021 The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said 17 ships at the Lagos ports were discharging general cargo, bulk wheat, petrol, frozen fish, container bulk sugar, automobile gasoline and base oil.

It said it was expecting 24 others laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods from Jan. 28 to Feb. 15.

The NPA made these known in its publication, `Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available to Naija247news in Lagos on Thursday.

According to it, the ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex.

The publication indicated that the ships contain bulk sugar, bulk wheat, general cargo, frozen fish, soya bean, gypsum, butane gas, pop starch, ethanol and container.

Meanwhile, another seven ships that had arrived the ports were waiting to berth with bulk wheat, container and petrol
